Every other Spring, meetings take place between all of Nevada’s Congressional delegation and local children with diabetes.Children and familiestell their stories to Senators Dean Heller and Mark Amodei, in avery successfuland touching effort to put a face on this often-invisible disease.

At all meetings the childrenboth thankedthe member for their past support, and also ask for a commitment to increase diabetes research funding at the national level. The answer in each case: a resounding, “Yes, I promise to remember all of you!”
